Stephanie Highett
Stephanie Highett (New Hall/Murray Edwards, 1982) has worked as a communications and reputation management consultant since leaving New Hall in 1985. Now a freelancer, the majority of her career was spent at FTI Consulting Strategic Communications, where she was a Senior Managing Director and Head of the Real Estate team.
Stephanie has also been a dedicated volunteer to a number of charities and organisations. She was one of the founding Trustees of Diversity Role Models, the charity set up in 2010 to promote understanding and acceptance of individual differences and end LGBT+ bullying in schools. She co-founded and was the first CEO of Action Breaks Silence, an educational charity established to create a world where women and girls can live their lives free from fear of gender-based violence. Stephanie has also worked all round the UK, including speaking at the Houses of Parliament, on behalf of SafeLives, a domestic violence charity, where her work centred on raising awareness of the prevalence and nature of domestic violence and abuse in the LGBT+ community. Her work in this field also included setting up an educational digital platform, TheIAmProjectLGBTQ.

She is currently the Director of Content for LBTQWomen, a network created to increase the visibility of lesbian, bisexual and transgender women at work and in society. In 2024, Stephanie was appointed as a Board Director of Bradford Producing Hub, an independent arts development organisation established to nurture and support artists and creative companies across the Bradford district.
