Nigel Mackay
Nigel Mackay (Jesus, 1997) decided to step off the conveyor belt of Cambridge law graduates joining large City firms by taking a post-university gap year to find himself in Tibet and India. It was there that he made the transformative decision to... join a large City firm.
He stuck it out for a few years before moving to human rights firm, Leigh Day, where he jointly heads up the Employment and Discrimination department. Nigel chaired the firm's first LGBTQ+ committee, which is now a thriving community within the firm. Nigel has two adopted children with his partner, Andy, who keep him delighted and exhausted in equal measure.
