Isabel Adomakoh Young
Isabel Adomakoh Young (Trinity, 2012) is a queer actor and writer of English and Ghanaian origins. While studying English at Trinity, she co-created award-winning collective Pecs Drag Kings with other Cambridge students, connecting her to her queer identity. She then trained in the National Youth Theatre Rep and has since performed at the RSC, Royal Court and Bristol Old Vic, and won a BBTA award for her Juliet at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre.

Their other co-creations include AIM ‘Best Independent Festival’ Brainchild, and the bestselling Lionboy book trilogy, adapted and toured globally by Complicité. In 2023, they were Guest Artistic Director of the Kings Head Theatre, appeared on Netflix, BBC and AppleTV, and played lead in As You Like it at Shakespeare's Globe. They are writing their first play with Michael Grandage Company Futures.
