Harry Kyriacou
Harry Kyriacou (Robinson, 2002), a zoology graduate, solicitor and actors’ talent agent, is a longtime supporter of 'Switchboard', the National LGBTQIA+ Support Line, both as a listening volunteer and previously a trustee.
'Switchboard' has just celebrated its 50th year, having first launched in March 1974 as the ‘London Lesbian and Gay Switchboard’ in the years following the partial decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and Wales. It later helped provide the queer community with support in the aftermath of the AIDS crisis in the 80s (with its telephone number being included on the AIDs health campaign leaflets which were sent to 23 million homes nationwide) and the bombing of the Admiral Duncan pub in the 90s.
Today, ‘Switchboard’ is still very much needed and is here to provide callers with calm words when they're needed most.
