Derek Jacobi

Sir Derek Jacobi CBE (St. John’s, 1956) has shared the stage with Laurence Olivier, shared an Emmy with Stephen Fry and Maggie Smith, and shared Igglepiggle and Upsy Daisy with little kids all over the UK.

He shared the role of Grand Marshall of New York Pride with Sir Ian McKellen, who is said to have had an “undeclared and unrequited” crush on him at Cambridge.

 

Together, they shared top billing in the TV show Vicious.

 

Derek, like Ian, is an LGBT+ legend.
