Daniel Davidson

Daniel Davidson (Queens’, 2017) broke through class barriers to attend Cambridge, and is now helping professionals working in the legal disputes industry to crash through the pink ceiling.

Daniel was the first recipient of an 'Open Offer' in Economics, an initiative through which the university sought to ensure that the best applicants received an offer of a place regardless of social, racial, religious and financial considerations. The success of Daniel and other Open Offer recipients helped pave the way for the introduction of contextualised offers.

A Senior Consultant in the Economic and Financial Consulting practice at FTI Consulting, in 2022 Daniel established a series of events titled 'LGBT+ in Disputes', seeking to connect and deepen the relationships between LGBT+ professionals in the litigation and arbitration industry. The series of alternative networking events has included private tours of exhibitions at the Royal Academy of Arts and Queer Britain, and creative classes in pasta-making and painting.

Daniel is a member of the Steering Committee of FTI Pride, the LGBT+ network of FTI Consulting in London, in which role he has been involved in fundraising efforts for Terrance Higgins Trust, and co-hosted events with LGBT+ networks of other firms.

Daniel provides ongoing mentorship of LGBT+ students looking to enter law and consulting, through 1:1 application coaching and interview preparation.
