Catrin Jayne Evans
Catrin Jayne Evans (Homerton, 2006) has throughout her career and life worked tirelessly for LGBT+ rights.
As Chair of the LGBT+ network at the Alan Turing Institute, Catrin established vision, direction, and led the network inclusively, ensuring that each voice was equitably heard and influential in shaping the direction of travel.
Catrin’s time at the Turing involved collaborating with Bletchley Park, the Bishopsgate Institute, Stonewall, and the Oxford Brookes Institute. She championed engagement, participation and intersectionality with a range of EDI networks, including the Knowledge Quarter network.
Catrin’s volunteer work has included mentoring and community support for the Terence Higgins Trust, leading groups with Cara HIV, and being a befriender for Opening Doors London (Age UK Camden).
She has been part of the volunteer team at Stonewall working on a project reflecting on the impact of Section 28.
