Caroline Hulsker

Caroline Hulsker (Gonville and Caius, 1998) is an Ironwoman, and one of five surgeons working in the national centre for paediatric oncology care in the Netherlands, which has become the largest paediatric oncology care and research centre in Europe since its official launch in 2018.

Caroline is an active member of the centre’s Diversity & Inclusion working group which organises round table discussions in the hospital. She is a member of the Dutch Roze in Wit foundation, promoting a safe space for queer doctors and patients by promoting visibility of queer caretakers and their allies.

With Roze in Wit, Caroline had been a proud visible queer doctor on the canal boat during Pride events, and an instigator of introducing educational topics such as gender diversity in care, and queer awareness, to medical faculties in the Netherlands.
