Canberk Benning

Canberk Benning (Darwin, 2022) is focused on helping to boost the visibility of LGBT+ persons in the financial services, in particular investment banking, industry.

 

He has used his role at Citi to help empower younger LGBT+ people and encourage them to share their stories at work, including by: helping organize Citi London Brunch in celebration of London Pride; engaging new and junior colleagues, particularly interns and graduates, with the Pride in Markets and broader Pride Network at Citi; speaking at event aimed at new graduates about coming out and being an LGBT+ person in banking; representing Citi Pride and helping commemorate LGBT+ history month and World Aids Day.

 

In September 2024, he was named as part of LGBT Great's 30 under 30 list, which aims to shine a spotlight on the next generation of LGBTQ+ leaders across the financial services industry.
