Andrew Lumsden
Andrew Lumsden (Corpus Christi, 1959) was “one of the pioneering figures in the fight for LGBT rights in the UK”. He helped to organise the very first Gay Pride march in London, as a member of the Gay Liberation Front, and founded Gay News.

Andrew’s obituary in the Guardian noted that, as news editor of the New Statesman, he was the first journalist on a straight publication to come out to his readers.
